Mr. Cee of Hot97 Fame Arrested A 2nd Time For Tranny Chasing, And Hip Hop’s Future

This is who you guys trust to rep Hip Hop?
Really?

Police say Mister Cee, real name Calvin LeBrun, was busted in Brooklyn on Friday trying to pick up a male prostitute.
The music man — who broke onto the hip-hop scene as Big Daddy Kane’s deejay and later produced Notorious B.I.G.’s first album, “Ready to Die” — has been charged with patronizing a prostitute. He was waiting to be arraigned on Saturday (http://bit.ly/ZIkUEV Mr Cee arrest link).

Now we can say it is a mistake the first time, sure. We said that for Eddie Murphy, and once he had a baby with Scary spice- aka the black Spice Girl- we turned our back. It was irrelevant if he liked trannies, or cheated on his wife with boys et al- as long as cool Eddie was seen getting trim with a public figure.
This time though Mr. Cee was arrested for the 2nd time.
Prior to this incident Mr. Cee pled guilty in 2011 to the charge of loitering with the intent of engaging in prostitution after he was arrested for receiving oral sex from another man in a parked car (http://bit.ly/YmRtY1).

Now I don’t give a rat’s ass what anyone does with their free time. But with all the hip hop bravado these fools run around with I’d expect more. I’m not saying I expect him to be straight, I assumed he was. However, what was the point of getting arrested for being a closet homosexual/bisexual? Regardless of the distinction that society may make between the two I see a fool regardless.
Was there no better way?
No internet dating site?
No craigslist.org to pander from.
Now perhaps I’m being snide but how is it that Hip hop relies on all these fools who can’t even be themselves to lead the game?
What is the point of him being at a pinnacle music career wise and he hides in the closet?
Let’s put the gay/bisexual part aside and just assume he’s a regular old, garden variety idiot- is that any better?
This man has access to money, cash, hoes (shout to Mr. S dot Carter) and still gets arrested- repeatedly – for prostitution related charges and or actually getting it in with a prostitute? Is he that ignorant?

Is it a wonder that Hip hop has lost it’s way?

Between fools like these, drug fiends like Lil’Wayne who have literally trashed their bodies in as little as 5 years, and the Bosses like Rick Ross who are obsessed with Molly and date rape is it a wonder not just Hip hop but our communities are in the toilet?
Is their no way to hit the top with real lyricism?
Sadly I’d say not really.
9/10 times if you don’t kiss the music machine’s ass you don’t get ahead. Play their game or lose. It sicks.
However with crowd funding and angel investing their is a chance.
When the fans get a vote, and get to fight the system by reinventing the fiscal wheel- things just may change.
Do I really think it will happen? Maybe.
Am I holding my breath? No.

But when the old timers point at this and shit on my generation for Hip hop’s failure I wonder if they will find themselves equally at fault?
The game changed, the game failed- but who will history ultimately hold accountable?
